Christmas Tech Support is short comedy play script for 2-5 actors.
CAST OF CHARACTERS (2-5)
IZZY: Struggling with an electronic device purchased for parents.
MAX: Sibling of IZZY who is preparing some arts/crafts and treats for everyone for Christmas.
*TECH1: A very robotic sounding tech support person.
*TECH2: A lively tech support robot with an accent.
*TECH3: Isabelle is another computer, but sounds more human.
*The TECH actors can be on stage under a spotlight or offstage. These can also be played by the same actor. TECH 1-3 can also be recordings)
SCENE
Living room filled with Christmas decorations, arts/crafts and treats.
(Two siblings, IZZY and MAX, sit at a sofa by a coffee table. They are getting ready for a Christmas celebration. MAX has arts/craft and/or cookie decorations. IZZY has a new electronic device and is looking it over)
IZZY: I can’t get this to work. I really wanted to have this all set up and ready for mom and dad when they open it. There’s nothing worse than getting a new present and then you spend all day trying to figure it out.
MAX: Did you read the directions?
IZZY: Of course I read the directions.
MAX: The ones still in the box over here?
IZZY: Fine. Give them to me. (pulls out huge manual from box) Maybe I’ll call their tech support.
MAX: (drops something in surprise) Tech support? You sure?
IZZY: Why not?
MAX: I never call tech support. They scare me.
